Common cancer types
There are more than 200 types of cancers that have been identified. The most common cancer which has been diagnosed is Breast Cancer. The next most common cancers are lung cancer and prostate cancer.
In this article, we have jotted down the most common cancer types, by which people are often diagnosed in India.
Breast Cancer:
Breast Cancer develops from breast tissue. The common signs and symptoms of breast cancer are a lump in the breast, change in the breast shape, dimpling of the skin, fluid coming from the nipple, patches on the skin, and an inverted nipple.
Lung Cancer:
Lung cancer begins in the lungs and often happens because of smoking. The other causes are living in a toxic atmosphere, second-hand smoke inhalation. The symptoms include blood in cough, chest pain, wheezing, and weight loss.
Prostate Cancer:
Prostate Cancer is cancer in a man’s prostate, a small walnut-sized gland that produces seminal fluid. The initial symptoms of this are urination problems.
Colon and rectal cancer:
It is a cancer of the colon. The initial symptoms of this cancer are changes in bowel habits, stool consistency, blood in the stool, and abdominal discomfort.
Melanoma Cancer:
Melanoma is skin cancer. It begins in the specialized cells of the skin which gives the pigment for the color of the skin.
Bladder Cancer:
This cancer begins in the bladder and mostly affects older adults. The most common symptom of this cancer is blood in the urine.
Lymphoma Cancer:
Lymphoma cancer begins in the lymphatic system. In this cancer, tumors are formed by white blood cells called lymphocytes.
Pancreatic Cancer:
It begins in the pancreas of the body and mostly it detects late, spreads rapidly.
